Hey! You!

Did you get significantly creeped out by those bunnies?  Are you one of them?

If you answered yes to either (stay the hell away from me if you only answered yes to the latter.  I have fire.) you should tweet it!

Salmon With Leeks!

The other day I made one of my favorite recipes and to boot, very simple to prepare!

Not to mention it is hella tasty!

What you need:

– 2 leeks (onion cousin that got a real job)

– Salmon filets! (depends on how hungry you are!)

– 4 cloves garlic

– Chicken broth (~ 1/2 cup)

– 12″ skillet/pan

– Lemon Juice

Cut off the top parts of the leeks and take off the tough outer bits then rinse.  They will have a little dirt.

Slice leeks horizontally so as to get thin strips.  This is called a chiffonade cut.  Click on this to see what I mean.

Essentially it is a thinner julian cut.

Let these cuts sit for a few minutes to really bring out that flavor!

Heat your skillet/pan to medium and splash a little of that broth when it heats up.

Sautee the leeks for around five minutes, stirring occasionally.

Press (with a spoon) your garlic cloves and add these and about a 1/4 cup more broth.

Sauté five more minutes and cover the skillet/pan in between the occasional stir.

Rub your salmon filets down with some salt, pepper, and spritz with lemon juice.

Now, put your salmon fillets on the delicious bed of leeks and cover for 5-10 minutes, but it really depends on

how thick the filets are.  Just wait until they get tender and pink and you’re done!

Enjoy this simple yet impressively delicious meal!  You’re friends will be amazed as

will everyone’s taste buds!
